The "Settings" page contains configuration options that affect the appearance of the Participant Portal for all studies within the CTRL deployment. This includes the Organisation Logo; Terms and Conditions URL; News Site URL; and Colour Scheme. There are also two buttons: "Save" and "Discard Changes". This page is only visible to Organisation Admins.
- "Logo" has an upload logo button. This is for an Organisation logo and is displayed in the header of the Participant Portal and in any PDFs created. If a logo has been uploaded, a preview is displayed and there are buttons to update or remove the Logo.
- "Terms and Conditions URL" is the URL that Participants are directed to when initially registering for CTRL. This is a required field (as Participants are required to indicate that they have read the Terms and Conditions to register).
- "News Site URL" is the URL for the embedded news and information site in the participant portal. If this is blank, then the News and Information Item is hidden in the Participant portal.
- "Colour Scheme (User Portal)" allows admins to set the primary and secondary theme colours in the Participant Portal. There are two fields which accept colour codes in either Hexadecimal Notation (Short and Long form, with optional opacity) or Functional Notation (with optional opacity e.g. rgb(255 0 0 / 50%) ). When valid colour codes have been entered, a small swatch of the colour appears at the right of the form field to help Admins validate that the colour is correct.
- Pressing "Save" triggers validation checks and then updates the settings in the database. The changes will be visible in the participant portal upon refresh or next page load.
- Pressing "Discard changes" restores the form fields to show the most-recently saved settings.
